50th Anniversary

The Love

It was a 50th anniversary on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and I saw my Mother’s whole side of the family and everyone was dancing and laughing and enjoying eachother and catching up with one another. I ran around taking the photography’s  of everyone having a good time while enjoying the time with them as well. I hope someday I can have that love that never stops growing and the glow they have towards one another, I saw the love they have with eachother and their children and grand children. It was a wonderful moment to see within a family. It has been a while and the wait is over Your pictures are ready :]

I love you guys

Always,

Amanda Tyler

Thinking

Photography has been apart of my life since I could remember, it has been the only thing I can seprate myself from everyone else, it gives me a peace of mind, when I pick of my camera, I am not even me anymore I become a piece of art , how do I word this , I feel as if it is greater than what I could ever do. A photograph once captured, it is there to look at and think back at that particular day and even seeing yourself as you were and look at how much you have became as a person. I love being a part of someone else’s memory of themselves and express the beauty of their lives within a given photograph. Even going out with my friends and getting dressed up or even putting crazy makeup on and making up a story line and getting into character is something we have always done together and enjoying our goofiness.

How I view photography is like taking the inner beauty of someone or something and expressing it to the world with understanding with that one image.

sharing your time and seeing where everyone around you is in their lives is a captured moment in time.

Winter night

Went downtown, went to the new museum and saw the Christmas tree up in front, over by where people can ice skate in Rosa park circle, took some pictures while the snow was coming down, and it was really cold, my camera was covered with a bag while I was taking the photo’s. My good friend Aurora was with me, video taping everything , then my boyfriend was taking some pictures as well. we were on a adventure of taking pictures in the very cold weather, and having fun in the snow, we also went on top of a parking garage , my first time, and taking pictures of the cars going by, it was very windy and snow kept coming, but it was a great fun experience with my friends.

Looking for santa

Brothers in the search for Santa.
The boy’s were so adorable hand in hand walking along their yard, as the older brother helped his little brother along , it is a moment I could not pass up and taking my camera and snapping a few shots. I enjoy this photograph in a sense to it’s a moment in their live’s , telling you a story , even though you cant see their face’s it’s grabbing your eyes their way and expressing their brotherhood.
The boy’s were so wonderful to capture , their mother was so exicted and joyful with laughs and smiles, even though there was no snow on the ground for the Christmas feel , I beilive it still give’s that christmas look because it’s saying to you it’s right around the corner and the children are a waiting to play in the snow and enjoy the Holidays.

Enjoying Each Other's Company

Mother and Daughter sitting by the fireplace after a long enjoyable day outside enjoying that they have each other in their lives. ( you don’t see it in the photograph, but the brother is on a chair enjoying his candy cane :] )
This reminds me that this is what Holidays are about , its not the presents that you receive, it is your family.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

My passion

Photography is my Passion , it became my life, when I am holding a camera it makes me feel as if I am someone else. What I can do, becomes my control and what I see, I feel like I have an eye for what I am doing .It’s hard to explain how I work with the camera and what I see and how I take that image and it’s what I saw with my own eyes. Its something you have to take within , and relax and flow with life and time . To capture a person’s expression at any moment of time is something people take for granted , you see it then it is gone in a second, but to make that second last longer is amazing.
What I get from taking my photographs is the people, to see something within that person and making come alive with a photograph. Also you can see at what point of time, what you were doing, where you were, what you looked like, its amazing to look back and see what you were, and what you are now. To capture the natural state of a human being, it tells a story, whether happy or sad, what I try to do with my photography is capturing the moments, but then also combining studio pieces within the natural states. Getting the real smile might take a little longer, you have to get to know someone , and that comes along in photography, someone that is not used to having photographs taken of them, get nervous, want to look good, doesn’t know how to react. You just have to talk them through it, as well making them comfortable as if there is no camera involved .
How I take my pictures is creative , and you have to have a creative mind to see what you are looking for in that photograph. As well as knowing your camera, and the object that is the main subject , like a spot light , and blocking out everything else, in order to have a great picture is also the background, does everything go for what that person stands for , does it some how reflect a pond them .
What do you see when you look at a photograph, what makes it a great image , a piece of art ?
When you look at a picture you see the story being told without words being said.
You see the beauty of the scene, of the person , a piece of their lives being shared.

Photo journalist is what I would like to be called, but yet a portrait photographer as well.

fall is gone , snow is here

The windows are covered as if their stain glass, the snow is like little crystals falling from the sky , the ground is ice and you could fall. I have my little hat and my coat to keep me warm, I have a smile on my face as I spin around in circles when the snow falls down, this portrait came to mind remembering just a few weeks ago this little girl was enjoying the leaves as I was with the snow. I am a little child at heart and I love taking moments out of my day and just not think of anything going on around me and feel young again. This portrait tells me a story of a child that will some day become a beautiful young woman that can look at these days and see the child within her .

A girl becoming a woman

Example of a Graduation portrait, this was one of the many different piece’s of clothing she changed into.
She was full of energy and full of laughs with smiles on a early Sunday morning. She has a wonderful personality and ready to grow up and become the woman she wants to be.
We worked together in the idea’s she wished to have within her pictures, she had a very creative mind and ready for anything I asked her to do.
It was a very Enjoyable morning.

Except it was Really Cold you can’t Tell

Amanda Tyler Photography

This is my first entry and this is a portrait I really enjoyed.

It’s easy  when your subject is so beautiful.

My cute little models

Brother and Sister finding Adventure together.
I had a lot of fun going out and taking their photograph’s , they were full of life and enjoyed everything around them, They both loved getting their photograph’s taken so that part was a piece of cake , it was the keeping up with them part that took me by surprise but yet it was exicting at the same time .
I would have to say they get their characters that they have due to their mother , I havent met the father yet, but their mother is a wonderful person ready for anything even though she works so hard, juggling everything in her life as well as theirs.
I would call her Super mom.
