My name is Amanda Tyler and Photography has always been a guide for someone to get a glimpse of looking through my eyes.
I can remember picking up a camera and taking pictures of everything inside my house and outside and begging my mom to get the photo’s developed right away so I can see what I have captured and to see if it is what I see through my eyes. Of course I was a child at the time so I really didn’t understand the meaning of my feelings I had and the joy I had taking the photo’s and seeing time hold in place. My creative side has always been a big part in my life and it comes hand and hand with capturing the beauty in life and in people around you.
In 2001 I went to take a photography class(for 3 years of summer and weekend classes) at Kendall College of Art and Design how to process film and photographs in the darkroom, along with how to work with lighting and the art of capturing anything and turning it into something beautiful. I started taking pictures of everything; I got really fascinated with taking pictures of people and trying to capture the moods and to get their true expressions.I have such joy capturing life through the lens of my camera because every person is different and one of a kind. I am able to see that Everyone is different and I love to capture that person’s inner beauty along with the outer beauty.
The way I like to look at photography is when you take those photographs you are able to capture the moment in time and keep it there whenever you wish to look back on anything of your life it will always be there for you to look back and remember.
I love the Adventure’s it gives me , my camera is always by my side waiting to capture that beautiful moment. I am so thankful for my gift of sharing these moments to others, and meeting so many wonderful people along the way and also capturing my family and friends and their children. I will always have this drive and passion for capturing life’s moments, it’s a part of who I am as a person. I have been doing this since I was 15 years old on the serious terms of photography and it will last a life time. There is always something new to learn and do within it ,and I am right there learning everything I can and growing within myself as a person and with my photography.
